Overview

RapidOptimizer is a locally executed Windows application. Almost all of its functionality operates entirely on your machine — your hardware data never leaves your PC under normal operation.

This Privacy Policy explains what limited data interactions occur when you visit this website, download the application, or use any associated services. "RapidOptimizer", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Chamika Samaraweera, operating under Team Infinity.

Data We Collect

In the application (local only): RapidOptimizer reads your CPU, RAM, GPU, disk, and network metrics exclusively to display them on your screen. This data is never transmitted externally.

  • Hardware metrics — CPU load, RAM usage, disk I/O, GPU stats, network speed. Cached in memory; never written to disk or sent over the network.
  • Windows system state — running processes, installed services, startup entries. Read-only; used only to populate the UI.
  • License key — stored locally in your app's config directory to validate your subscription. Not transmitted in plaintext.

On this website: Standard web server logs may record your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit for security and uptime monitoring. We do not use analytics cookies or third-party tracking scripts.

How We Use Data

  • To provide functionality — metrics are used exclusively to power the dashboard, overlay, optimizer, and cleaner features.
  • To validate your license — your key is checked against our license server to unlock paid features. This is the only network call the app makes.
  • To deliver software updates — the app may query the GitHub Releases API to notify you of new versions. No identifying data is sent in these requests.
  • For security — website access logs help us detect abuse and protect the service.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the software.

Data Storage & Security

Application configuration and license state are stored in your Windows user profile directory (%APPDATA%\RapidOptimizer). This directory is protected by your Windows account permissions.

We use industry-standard TLS for any network communication between the app and our license server. Website traffic is served over HTTPS.

We do not operate our own databases of user personal data. GitHub, as the distribution platform, has its own privacy policy covering download analytics.

Third-Party Services

  • GitHub — used to host and distribute releases. Subject to GitHub's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts / jsDelivr / cdnjs — this website loads fonts and libraries from these CDNs. They may log your IP per their own policies.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any other third parties.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because RapidOptimizer stores data locally on your machine, you retain direct control over that data at all times.

To request deletion of any data held server-side (e.g., license records), contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

RapidOptimizer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of the page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of RapidOptimizer after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
